We have two DVD collections in the library:

1. We have ‘educational DVDs’ that were purchased with funds from the Lewis Library budget on the recommendation of a faculty and approved by the appropriate department chair. Library users can borrow these educational DVD titles for 28 days.

2. Then we have the ‘Fly-by-Video’ collection. These are popular films purchased using overdue fines collected from library users. Only fine money from late returns of Fly-By-Videos is used to purchase more popular DVDs. Checkout is limited to 3 days.

Faculty, if you need to check out a Fly-by-Video for classroom use and need it longer than 3 days, please call the library at 815-836-5300 to make arrangements.
